Ellen & Robert

At the time of Ellen and Robert’s wedding, I was 37 weeks pregnant.

I know, I know. I was probably crazy for thinking I should be shooting a wedding while soooo pregnant! Looking back now that I have some experience with the whole pregnancy thing, I’m like… “Shelby, really?” I knew from the start of my pregnancy that there was a chance I wouldn’t get to be their photographer if Isaiah came early or if any complications arose, but I really loved this couple and wanted to make it work!

Well… their wedding weekend rolled around and Thursday night I thought my water broke (TMI?) It hit me suddenly that whether or not I was going to have a baby soon, it wasn’t safe for me to travel because clearly something was going on! I was pretty upset to miss their big day– I have never EVER missed a client’s wedding! But, thank God I had a wonderful team ready on standby: Staci Moore of Staci Ann Photography.

Staci and her husband, along with their assistant, stepped in for me on this wedding day and let me say, they crushed it. Truly, I couldn’t have felt more safe handing my clients over to her and Shane and I am so thankful for them!

So while I can’t take credit for these images (aside from editing them), I still wanted to post them because she did a BEAUTIFUL job! Thank you Staci and Shane and to all of the vendors who had my back on this weekend. And a huge thank you to Ellen and Robert for being so kind, flexible, loving, and trusting us with your big day!
